REALTOR & Broker Owner
I've called Missoula my home since 1983. What brought me here was the mountains, but what has kept me here is the community. Missoula offers everything I am looking for--an amazing blend of people, culture, and wilderness. About me. My background is education and for many years, I worked at The University of Montana. I have been a teacher for young children with disabilities, the owner of a toy store, and the Executive Director of an international membership organization. My work took me around the globe and gave me a chance to appreciate coming home to Missoula. Real estate has always been a passion of mine. Even before I became a licensed REALTOR, I studied the Missoula housing market, went to open houses, and never missed a Parade of Homes. I've watched our community grow and I know the character of our neighborhoods. I use what I know about Missoula to help you find your perfect home. My family. It's a busy life at my house! I have four amazing children and one very large Irish Wolfhound named Finn who can be seen walking his people around the lower Rattlesnake. I understand Missoula from the family perspective. Ask me about schools, great places to play or how to find the perfect sledding hill.
In 2020, while the world was in the midst of a pandemic, I started my own real estate brokerage--M & Company. I did it for two reasons. First, after many years in the real estate industry working with amazing people, I knew that real estate was what I was meant to do. It was time to invest in my career and build a brokerage that reflected who I am and how I want to practice real estate. Second, it was the middle of a pandemic! I was incredibly busy with with my real estate clients but it was also a time of reflection--and a time to be creative. I am incredibly lucky to have clients who have helped me build my business and who keep me having fun.
And what is then GRI after my name? Well, it means Graduate Realtor Institute and it is a designation given to Realtors who commit to three years of intensive training to fine tune their skills, make connection across the country, and learn more about our industry. It is a big commitment and I use my GRI every time I interact with clients--whther it is helping to sell or buy a home. Ongoing professional development is a commitment I made when I got my real estate license. You can count on me to be current, informed, and ready to help you.
